Cosmetic Dentistry

For a better YOU…

Our goal in the field of aesthetic dentistry is to make your smile look fresh, natural and  healthy with perfect-shaped and color-designed teeth.

The color, shape and size of the teeth, as well as their matching to the shape and color of the face, are not the only parameters that affect an aesthetic smile.

In addition, their symmetrical position within the dental arch – especially that of the upper incisors – the colour and shape of the gingiva (gums) and the bite situation contribute especially to ist balance.

In our practice in Munich Giesing, dentists CHANDRA | BUCUTA offers the following services in the field of aesthetic dentistry:

  • Tooth-colored filling techniques such as plastic fillings or CAD/CAM-manufactured ceramic or plastic inlays, crowns and bridges made of all-ceramic (referred to Fixed Denture)

  • Veneers made of ceramic or plastic

  • Teeth Whitening

  • Invisalign®

What aesthetic correction options are there?

VENEERS

Veneers are wafer-thin, translucent ceramic shells that are mainly glued to anterior teeth. They make it possible to correct slight tooth misalignments or gaps, but also tooth discoloration. This gives the visible tooth surfaces an optimized appearance.

INLAYS

Inlays are non-direct tooth fillings techniques made of ceramics or plastics. Inlays make it possible to treat tooth damage on the inside of the tooth while keeping the tooth alive. The tooth is first prepared and the decayed tooth material is removed. An impression of the teeth is made and sent to the laboratory. The finished inlay is glued to the damaged tooth. It thus ensures a tight closure of the tooth surface and stabilizes the tooth.

Bleaching

TEETH WHITENING WORKS...

Over the years, teeth can lose their natural tooth color. Teeth Whitening is one of the world’s most popular cosmetic dental procedures as it’s one of the easiest and least expensive ways to get the sparkle back into your smile.

Factors such as smoking, drinking coffee and red wine, can cause staining and yellowing of the teeth. Teeth can also become more discoloured with age as the enamel thins and allow more of the dentin underneath to show through. Teeth Whitening (or Bleaching) is a safe and effective way to lighten the colour of your teeth. This results in discoloration or stains that cannot be removed by professional teeth cleaning.

This treatment will be done by the dentist: Scaling & polishing, dental examinations, and dental photography included. Estimated treatment time: 1 visit, each visit approximately 60-120 minutes depending on the complexity of each case. Schedule your Teeth Whitening appointment with us today here and we’ll help you achieve the smile you’ve always desired!

Invisalign®

If you’ve been thinking about starting orthodontic treatment to align your teeth and give you a perfect smile, you’ve probably heard of Invisalign or clear aligners. It’s no wonder, as they have brought about a real revolution in the world of orthodontics.

Before, orthodontics meant wearing metal or ceramic brackets, which we used to associate with teenagers. Those braces affect the image, and that’s why many adults didn’t want to start orthodontic treatment. But this new Invisalign is the solution.

Invisalign consists of invisible, removable braces that are made from a virtual model of your teeth. No brackets or wires are used, so the discomfort that these used to cause disappears. They must be worn for at least 20 hours a day, so you only have to take them off to eat and brush your teeth.

IS INVISALIGN TREATMENT RIGHT FOR YOU?

3 simple steps. 1 great smile.

1. Meet with your doctor
Using a state-of-the-art iTero Element™ scanner, your doctor will quickly and precisely create a detailed, 3D scan of your current smile and map out the custom treatment plan for your new one. So, you’ll know what exactly to expect at every step. Plus, you’ll even see a sneak peek of what your new smile could look like.

2. Begin the transformation
When you pick up your first set of Invisalign aligners, your doctor will check them to make sure that they fit correctly and are as comfortable as possible. Your doctor will also schedule a series of regular, face-to-face check-ups to give you each new batch of aligners and monitor the progress of your new smile. As part of the process of shifting your teeth during your treatment, you’ll be swapping out your aligners often.

3. Look after your new smile
Like all teeth straightening treatments, including braces, once you’re done with your Invisalign treatment, you’ll need to wear a retainer to keep your teeth straight. Depending on your doctor, you’ll be offered custom-made Vivera™ retainers that are crafted using the same technology as your Invisalign aligners, or another retainer brand.
